How to: Open Bubbly!

SHARE

Do you suffer from pop-phobia, the fear of opening a bottle of Bubbly? We’ve got you covered! Grab whatever small towel you have handy—hand towel, tea towel, bowling towel—and follow these simple instructions:

1. Remove the foil. Most bottles have a tiny tab you can pull to cleanly remove the foil “cap.”

2. Put a cloth on it. Sometimes loosening the wire cage can send the cork rocketing out of the bottle. Hold the cloth down around the neck. Then, twist the key and remove the cage.

3. Slowly twist the bottle while keeping a firm grip over the cloth and cork. Then, pop goes the Bubbly!

Hooray, you did it! Time for your Bubbly dance! Pour a little in each glass to avoid over-bubbling. Then, top off with more Bubbly and say good-bye to pop-TOE-phobia forever.
