Lasagna with Barefoot Pinot Noir Sauce

A lasagna recipe that calls for wine? Don't mind if we do! This is one of the most scrumptious lasagna recipes with meat sauce you'll ever find. Trust us, your taste buds will love this. This recipe calls for our own Barefoot Pinot Noir and the flavors don't disappoint. And did we mention it pairs perfectly with the finished product? Delish!

To start, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. In a large saucepan, add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic and Barefoot Pinot Noir. Cook on low/medium heat for 15 minutes. In another medium skillet, cook meat until brown and then add to sauce. Sprinkle in the salt and allow sauce to simmer until needed. While sauce is heating, cook lasagna noodles.

In a 9 x 13 inch baking dish, layer the lasagna as follows: 2 cups sauce, 3 noodles side by side, 1 cup cottage cheese, 1/2 cup ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, 2 cups sauce, 3 noodles, 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1/2 cup ricotta, 3 noodles, rest of the sauce, 1 1/2 cups mozzarella and 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese.

Cover the lasagna and bake in the oven for 35 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Let cool, serve and enjoy!

¼ cup Parmesan cheese
